It is sad but I have lost or broken at least 5 pairs of really good eyeglasses in the past few years.People with less than perfect vision like me, rejoice! Here's a great discovery: Zenni Optical. They sell Zenni Optical $8 Rx Glasses. Those are complete single vision eyeglasses, by the way. So if you lose one, then you can always get another.
