One of the things I miss the most is sikolati - native hot chocolate. My grandma used to make it for us every morning. Only tabliya from Gilang's will do.

One time, my mom made our own tabliya. We loved having to eat the cacao meat! We gathered the seeds, dried then roasted them. We rubbed them 'til the outer shell falls off, then my mom ground it. Then she used a tabliya press to make the little chocolate tablets. It smelled soooo good!

Here in the US, the only thing that comes close is Godiva dark chocolate powder. Call me tasteless, but I think sikolati tastes better.
