Man vs not-so-Wild

It's all over the Internet: Man vs Wild is supposedly fake. A BBC story indicates that the networks are facing these claims.

I understand how people are disillusioned that Bear Grylls isn't really alone in the wild. After all, the program shows only one person trying to survive in remote places. Obviously, a camera crew follows him around. On the Everglades episode, the cameraman's hand was shown when he was alerted to a possible alligator nearby.

All the same, I remain a fan. I don't dream of being stranded in a deserted place any time soon, but I appreciate whatever information the show offers. More than that, I think Man vs Wild is purely entertaining.
